When I get friend requested by a band, I do the usual profile sweep to determine if they warrant a ‘myspace find’. To my surprise, I found an interesting biographical tidbit while checking out Astra Heights’ profile- they are from the same small Texas town (pop. 5000) as part of my family. And I thought nothing cool could ever come from there.
4 of the 5 members of Astra Heights, as a quick perusal of the profile pics will key you into, are brothers. Their music draws from disparate influences, inciting loads of comparisons as varied as Queen and The Smiths. Astra Heights is satisfying pop rock.
