Flight of the Conchords is the new bit of brilliantness showing on HBO. The half hour comedy follows 2 guys in a “digi-folk” band from New Zealand. They’ve relocated to New York to try to ‘make it’. A hipster version of Tenacious D, perhaps, would be the best way to describe it. Here’s a taste.
The duo has been performing since 2002. And they really are from New Zealand. That place is just cool.
